Frank Baggett - an Artist following his passionFrank Baggett has joined the Sanmar Publishing family with his artwork depicting his love of nature and adventure. Sanmar is proud to have the opportunity to represent this fine artist. Frank’s genre of work and style of painting will add another dimension to the repertoire of art that Sanmar has to offer it’s clients. In appreciation for being a part of this spectacular event, Sanmar Publishing along with Happy Vodka will be hosting a pre-party for the Festival sponsors and the many fine volunteers on October 14th at The Hotel Rehoboth in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This years event is not one to miss. The outstanding line-up of performers will be: Charlie Thomas’ Drifters on wednesday October 15th followed by The Neville Brothers 30th Anniversary Tour on Thursday October 16th at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. On friday October 17th, Cintron at the Rehoboth Beach Theater and The Legend of Jazz featuring Ramsey Lewis, Paquito D’Rivera and Fourplay, presented by AARP will play at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. Saturday, October 18th, “To Grover with Love” starring Jason Miles with an all star cast featuring Everettee Harp, Kim Waters, Andy Snitzer, Maysa, Chuck Loeb, Gerald Veasley and Buddy Williams. Rehoboth’s Secret: Doug James, Keith Mack and Ed Shockley will be performing Saturday Afternoon. Saturday’s line-up continues with Joe Piscopos “A Tribute to Sinatra & more”. The great Simone will be his opening act. The final act of the night is Jason Miles presenting “Funky Moonlight Groove” featuring Jason Miles, Eric Darius, Chuck Loeb, Gerald Veasley and Buddy Williams. Sunday winds up this spectacular event with “The New Urban Jazz Party” starring Bob Baldwin, Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum and Eric Darius. The last event of the week is “The All-Star Jazz Jam” closing party starring Jason Miles, Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, Everette Harp, Kim Waters, Andy Snitzer, Chuck Loeb, Gerald Veasley, Buddy Williams, Eric Darius and Bob Baldwin. The Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Festival will be celebrating its 18th year in 2007. And what a year it will be for attendees. The Delaware Celebration of Jazz, who promotes the Festival, is proud to announce this outstanding line up starting with our opening party event featuring The Miracles w/special guest Claudette Robinson! The theme this year is “Mardi Gras”. It will also include our Best Taste of Rehoboth. In addition to Chicken, Crab Meat has been added so it will be the people choice award for the best Chicken & Crab meat signature taste of Jazz Festival 2007. Party attendees will vote for their best taste. In addition we will have added the best Desert Taste. An open bar will also be available during the Tasting. Thursday night Brenda Russell and Candy Dulfer will rock the house. Starting the show is Brenda Russell. With a voice that caresses like melted caramel and lyrics that touch the deepest recesses of your emotions, singer/songwriter Brenda Russell proves that a glowing talent only deepens with time. Grammy nominated Candy Dulfer will end the show. Her 1990 solo debut album ‘Saxuality’, recorded at the age of nineteen, sold over a million copies worldwide and was nominated for a Grammy Award. The energy that will be created by these two artists will be electrifying. Friday night the versatile Queen Latifah will grace our stage with her Trav’lin’ Light Tour providing a set of jazz selections performed as only the Queen can deliver!. Her new CD release on September 25 is entitled “Trav’lin’ Light,” (which is being released on the legendary jazz label Verve) so she will be in town just in time to promote her new recording! Saturday afternoon features the Jason Miles’ production of “Celebrating the Music of Marvin Gaye and Motown”. Synthesizer programmer and keyboardist Jason Miles surrounds himself with an extremely talented group of musicians that include Bobby Caldwell, Walter Beasley, Nick Colionne, Maysa and James “D-Train” Williams. Also being featured are Sherror Barnes, Jerry Brooks and drummer Brian Dunne. This will be a concert not to miss! Saturday night the legendary Dionne Warwick will be showing why she is the second most charted female vocalist of the past forty years. Sunday afternoon will be The Smooth Jazz All-Star Jam featuring bassist Gerald Veasley and his band. Gerald has been recently named “Best Electric Bassist” In Jazziz magazine’s annual reader’s poll. Also starring saxophonists Eric Darius & Walter Beasley, guitarists Steve Oliver & Doc PowellCarol Riddick. This will be a high energy show so get ready to be super charged! and vocalist Ending the festival will be the Grand Jam Party at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach. Come and celebrate the closing of the 18th Rehoboth Autumn Jazz Festival with Gerald Veasley, Eric Darius, Walter Beasley, Steve Oliver, Doc Powell, Carol Riddick, Jason Miles, Nick Colionne, Brian Dunne, James “D-Train” Williams and a couple of surprise artists. June 8-9 , 2007: 3rd Annual Heritage Music Fest This years Heritage Music Fest featured IRMA THOMAS, The Soul Queen of New Orleans and LUTHER "Guitar Junior" JOHNSON on June 8, 2007. On June 9, 2007, THE MIRACLES WITH SPECIAL GUEST CLAUDETTE ROBINSON and RICHARD STREET lead singer of THE TEMPTATIONS "71-95" performed. This amazing event was not one to be missed.
